PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – A toddler was hospitalized after being found unconscious in a swimming pool at an apartment complex in Phoenix. According to Captain Todd Keller of the Phoenix Fire Department, the 2-year-old girl was already out of the water when the firefighters arrived at the crime scene on 12th Street and Bell Road. Keller said the little girl was breathing, but it was very shallow. The family told first responders that the child was underwater for about 5 minutes, according to Keller. He said the little girl was in extremely critical condition when paramedics took her to the hospital. A three-year-old boy drowned at a pool party in Glendale on July 4th. A little girl nearly drowned when her father kicked her away while bathing in a hotel room in Phoenix. That was on July 4th too. On July 3rd, a 2-year-old girl nearly drowned in Scottsdale.
