PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – Phoenix police arrested an armed robbery suspect who escaped police custody early Friday morning. In a tweet, police said the suspect escaped around 1 a.m. on Central Avenue and Elwood Street. He was identified as 20-year-old Tyler Woodward. According to police, the attack occurred on October 10th in the 7th Street and Bell Road area. Authorities say Woodward is known for covering his tattoos with makeup. In a Friday afternoon update, police said Woodward was being taken into custody just down the street, near 7th and Elwood. The police thanked the community for providing the information to find him.
