PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – Police say a Phoenix man attacked his hairdresser because he didn’t like his haircut. The officers arrested Lorenzo Malik Harewood on Monday evening. “Lorenzo was not given his money back and he continued to punch the victim in the mouth,” read the statement on the likely reason for the arrest. Police say he hit the victim “many times unknown”. Officials say Harewood, 25, ripped a necklace off the victim’s neck and then ran out of the store and dropped the necklace on the way. Court documents indicate that Harewood hit another car while driving from the parking lot onto Thomas Road east of 44th Street. Police arrested Harewood on suspicion of robbery, which is a class 4 crime. He was released on his own admission and is due to return for a preliminary hearing on September 22nd. Under Arizona law, an initial conviction of a class 4 crime carries an alleged 2.5 year prison term. The minimum penalty is 1.5 years. Copyright 2021 KPHO / KTVK (KPHO Rundfunkgesellschaft).
