PHOENIX – Celebrations, announcements, and parties are now being taken to the next level with the help of social media, and those who make it happen are some locals who left American firms to pursue careers in the events industry.
Three Phoenix Small businesses are working to create those perfect memories. they are Alpha illuminated phoenix, Olivia Nowak’s balloon creations and Girls about the city.
‘Everything to Create a Beautiful Illuminated Display’
“Will you marry me?” is the question that most girls dream of hearing and helping spell that special person in your life with the Caity Hairston Alpha illuminated phoenix.
“Every girl would like to plan a wedding, plan a party. That niche and the desire to do something for myself – it was a great combination, ”said Hairston of her career change.
“We offer rentals. Letters, numbers, symbols. Anything to create a beautiful lighted display that can be used for weddings, baby showers. Anything for a gathering or celebration, we’re here for anything you want to spell.” . ” She explained.
Hairston left her 9-to-5 job two years ago to pursue this business. Today she knows that her decision was a good one.
In the past year she has done almost 800 events – at least 10 per weekend.
“Balloons offer so much value”
Olivia Nowak with Olivia Nowak’s balloon creations said she started her business so she wouldn’t have to rely on an employer for an income.
“Before social media exploded, it was a lot harder and I had a second job because I needed that security of insurance and income. It’s so busy now. It just feels great not to have to rely on an employer to take care of it, ”said Nowak.
She has been creating artwork from balloons for several years, and in recent years it has been blown up.
“You just want to show up and it’s done”
Once you’re engaged and ready to have your final fiesta before your big day, Meghan Alfonso will be with you Girls about the city can help you with that.
She sets up your hotel or Airbnb with fun, festive and personalized decorations before you arrive.
Alfonso says she does around 10 to 15 hen parties every weekend.
“It’s definitely a convenience,” said Alfonso. “They don’t want to sit here and decorate and keep the bride away, they just want to show up and it’s done.”
Decoration aside, it will even fill your fridge with all of your favorite goodies.
“We sent them a form and they sent their shopping list back. Basically we order them to be picked up and delivered so that they don’t even have to go to the supermarket while they are in town,” Alfonso explained.
All of these small business owners are glad they trusted their gut instincts to start something of their own which in turn will help you throw a stunning party.
