Semi-truck flips over center wall on I-10, partially closes Goodyear freeway | Phoenix Traffic

GOODYEAR, AZ (3TV / CBS 5) – A collision involving three vehicles, including a trailer truck, paralyzed Interstate 10 in Goodyear for hours on Wednesday and created miles of backups just before rush hour. The Department of Public Safety says a motorist and a semi-trailer truck driver in the east-facing lanes on Estrella Parkway may have swept sideways, causing the truck driver to lose control. The truck pulled into the central median, the trailer tipping over and sand spilling in the westbound lanes. Two people in the first car were seriously injured and rushed to hospital. Nobody else was hurt. The entire east side of I-10 was closed, while some lanes on the west side were closed for hours. The lanes to the west were reopened around 7:30 p.m. The lanes to the east were open again shortly after 8:00 p.m. * UPDATE * All lanes of the I-10 EB are OPEN.
