The officers knocked on the door but no one answered, so they climbed a ladder to get onto the terrace to help the children and get inside. Once inside, officers found 30-year-old Shavone Robinson dead on a pool of blood. She had been stabbed multiple times in the neck, face and upper body. Robinson’s one month old baby was lying on the floor nearby. Court documents say the baby had multiple fractures and bleeding in the brain while the two toddlers on the patio were dehydrated and vomited at ages 3 and 2. Robinson’s oldest child was visiting relatives at the time of the murder. Investigators believe the children were there for five days before police rescued them. During their investigation, the detectives found that they believe Daniels was the one-month-old’s father and that he wanted the mother to have an abortion when she told him she was pregnant. Family speaks after woman found murdered in Phoenix home; 3 children saved “I know she is safe and I know she is resting,” says Shavone’s sister, Kika Robinson. “It’s so sad and so unnecessary that she had to leave because she really didn’t deserve it.” Kika says the family are grateful for the Phoenix Police Department and their work in putting Daniels behind bars. The family knows very little about the suspect, Kika says, but they are willing to attend any trial to ensure justice is done. Relatives attended Daniel’s first court date on Friday, and Kika says she can say this trip will be challenging. “He rolls his eyes. There is a body language,” remembers Kika. “My emotions went through the roof.” Kika says the family looks after Shavone’s four children and they thrive despite the trauma they have suffered. “They know their mother is in heaven. We pray to her every night.” says Kika. “We watch the little baby grow. It’s getting bigger and stronger every day. ”Daniels was booked into the Maricopa County Jail. He faces charges of murder, gun abuse, and child abuse. Records show that Daniels previously served a prison sentence for kidnapping. The investigation continues.
