A Phoenix UPS driver becomes a Good Samaritan when he helps a woman in a wheelchair who was stuck in the pavement and blocking traffic. PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – These days, UPS drivers are often recognized for their work during the pandemic. But what Phoenix driver Ken Westbrook proved at the intersection of 32nd Street and Washington Street was that commitment to his community is commonplace. “I just saw this little lady in a wheelchair try to cross the crosswalk,” Westbrook said . Westbrook said he was waiting to turn left after picking up an order nearby when he noticed a woman was a little too close to the “When she was about halfway down I was tempted to open the door and help her, and then she stopped right near the light rail tracks, “Westbrook said. He said the woman who had just got off the bus showed up. “And I noticed the light rail was coming,” Westbrook said. Westbrook jumped out to help. “If they thought they could get past her and not make it, they would have slipped into their wheelchair,” Westbrook said. But he wasn’t the only person watching it all play out – a clerk doing ee from a nearby store a picture. “He thought of taking a picture, sent it to my boss, who sent it to me, How are you looking at this guy.
