PHOENIX – Phoenix The fire department fought at least two commercial fires on Saturday, the department said.
The first fire was nearby at the IHOP around 3 p.m. Central Avenue and Thomas Road. The second fire was at O’Reilly Auto Parts nearby McDowell Road and 32nd Street around 19 o ‘clock
At IHOP, the crews came across a lot of smoke from inside the restaurant. All have been evacuated and no casualties have been reported.
The first alarm fire at O’Reilly Auto Parts showed heavy flames from a motor home parked outside the store.
“The owner of the RV was rushed to the hospital with minor burns to his hands. Investigators are currently on site to investigate a cause,” said Phoenix Fire Captain Todd Keller.
Customers and employees have been safely evacuated from the store.
