THE RUNDOWN – The Dukes maintained momentum in the first half, beating Phoenix 2-0 – Elon had two shots on goal from Kennedy Jones and Abby Fusca in the 42nd and 43rd minutes, but both were made by James Madison’s goalkeeper Hold The Dukes took home the win.-The Phoenix’s best and final attempt to get to the board came in the 78th minute when Hannah Doherty fired a shot towards the top of the net, but it was blocked by the goalkeeper. NOTES-Doherty and Makenzie DePriest – Kessler led the team with two shots, followed by Fusca, Carson Jones and Kennedy Jones with an 11 shots – The Phoenix now stands at 8-6-2 (3-3-2 CAA) while James Madison i improves to 8-8-1 (5-3-0 CAA) and secures a spot in the Colonial Athletic Association Championship. After Northeastern lost to Drexel (2-1 OT), Elon’s postseason hopes are still alive when it comes to his last regular season game.
