PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – Investigators are trying to find out if a teenage driver who plowed his car into a house in west Phoenix on Sunday morning may have been compromised. It happened about 6:15 a.m. on a neighborhood northeast of 83rd Avenue and Indian School Road. Ann Justus, a person in the house suffered minor injuries. She also said the 17-year-old driver was taken to the hospital as a precaution. Desirae Wimp, who lives across the street, called 911 and then went outside to see the car on fire. She told Arizona’s family that she believed the car drove into a bedroom and that she and another Witness helped an elderly woman outside. The investigation continues. Jupiter says early information suggests impairment may have been a factor. Wimp said she believed the suspect might live in the neighborhood because he left the scene and then possibly came back with a different shirt. She said that he was receiving medical attention at the time. Copyright 2021 KPHO / KTVK (KPHO Rundfunkgesellschaft). All rights reserved.
