PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – Police have identified the man and woman who were killed in west Phoenix on Friday night when their car crashed into a tow truck and caught fire. Investigators say the black sedan Guadalupe Orosco, 25, and Amanda Ramirez, 35, were in “accelerated before they lost control and caused the collision”. Phoenix Fire Department officials say their crews reacted near 83 on Friday just after 6 p.m. Police say the black sedan was traveling east on McDowell Road as it crossed the median and into traffic heading west collided with the truck. The car caught fire after the collision. Orosco, who was driving according to police, and Ramirez were trapped in the rubble. The fire departments were able to put out the flames to get to the injured, but Orosco and Ramirez died on the scene. The driver of the semitrailer was not injured in the impact.
