Woman arrested for traffic shooting in Phoenix Jenee Pannell was arrested for allegedly shooting a man in the head while his girlfriend and child were in the car. PHOENIX – An arrest was made on a rage shoot in Phoenix that resulted in a hospital father fighting for his life. According to police, the shooting occurred at the intersection of 43rd and Peoria Avenues. The officers reacted shortly before 10 a.m. at the scene and learned that the drivers of a limousine and an SUV had argued over a traffic dispute at a red light. The limousine driver is said to have shot at the SUV. The driver of the SUV, identified by relatives as Jesus Marquez, was hospitalized with serious injuries. The victim’s girlfriend, Lynda Hamilton, said he was on his way to work and she was in the car with her two-year-old child when the gunshots happened. On November 4, police announced that 27-year-old Jenee Pannell was detained in connection with the shooting after video surveillance from a Valley Metro bus caught the crime and her license plate. Investigators were then able to locate her by pinging her GPS location from her cell phone. Pannell faces charges of drive-by gunfight and aggravated assault. I don’t know what to do if my boyfriend dies,” said Hamilton. Hamilton explains that it all started when the woman driving a limo cut her off. “He asked me and said, ‘Hey, did you see what that lady was just doing?’ And I said, ‘Yeah, forget it.’ “When they got to the traffic lights, Hamilton said both drivers had their windows down. The light turned green and as they moved forward it said the woman shot them. “It went through the rear window between me and my son and hit his head while driving and he crashed,” she said. Phoenix Police Sgt. Vincent Cole said, “He accelerated through the intersection and drove down the pedestrian walkway, luckily didn’t meet a pedestrian and stopped against the wall.” “I need to know who did this … we need justice,” said Hamilton.
