Man arrested after shooting and killing another man in central Phoenix | Arizona News

PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – A man was shot in the center of Phoenix on Saturday afternoon. According to Phoenix Police Sgt. Andy Williams, officers were called to a shooting in the 10th Street and Buckeye Road area around 1:00 p.m. and found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition but later died of his injuries. The man was later identified as 40-year-old Tyrone Thompson. Police arrested 23-year-old Morion Collins on August 24 in connection with the shooting. Investigators believe the victim was involved in a brawl with a group of people that ended in a shootout.
