We’re getting through these 2021 patches, League of Legends fans. The three-week test cycle for League of Legends patch 11.16 is now complete, so the Sona update, the Karma balance changes and the new Coven skins are going to the live battlefields of the MOBA game. Now is the time to see what comes with 11:17 – so let’s dive in and take a look, right? First off, we seem to have some changes ahead of us for Amumu. Jeevun Sidhu, currently lead game designer for the Summoner’s Rift team, says the team’s goals for the sad mummy at 11:17 are “to make Amumu better at higher MMRs as his current performance gap is huge.” Basically, it will have two Q changes and the developers have “pulled power from other places”. You can review these balance adjustments in the Champion Changes section below. Elsewhere, Sidhu has revealed that Lucian is also getting some major changes in this patch, with developers aiming to shift power from mid-Lucian to bot. These haven’t made it to the PBE yet, but we’ve included the changes from Sidhu’s tweet below so you can see what’s coming. The fortnightly update also brings a pretty hefty new set of champion skins. Akali, Darius, Shaco, Twisted Fate and Zyra get some Crime City Nightmare styles, while Anivia, Seraphine and Xayah get their own look from the Phoenix skin line. LEAGUE OF LEGENDS PATCH 11.17 – CHAMPION SKINS Champion Skins Crime City Nightmare Akali – 1350 RP “As the loyal enforcer of the Graves family, Akali made the same deal as everyone else when the Mysterious Gentleman called. The Force has changed it, transformed it into something that hears a siren song that echoes beyond the veil of reality. Now she’s acting in ruthless, horrific violence, looking for an unfathomable ‘balance’ that even she can’t name. ”Here’s the splash art from Crime City Nightmare Akali: Crime City Nightmare Darius – 1350 RP“ Everything Darius wanted , was to secure a place at the top of the underworld. Becoming Miss Fortune’s personal bodyguard was the first step, but the second was accepting the power of the Mysterious Gentleman: welcoming forces from beyond space and time that have shaped him into something far more powerful than he ever was could have imagined. ”Here’s the splash art from Crime City Nightmare Darius: Here’s Riot’s PBE preview of the two skins: #PBE Preview Crime City Nightmare! 🕵️ Crime City Nightmare Akali & Darius! 🏙️ pic.twitter.com/E1dQpzQe2r – League of Legends // UK, IE & Nordics (@LoLUKN) August 11, 2021 Crime City Nightmare Shaco – 1350 RP “Once just a courier for the Twitch Syndicate, Shaco is now hardly a human. The sinister corruption has robbed him of his sanity and identity, turning him into a chirping horde of knife-wielding monsters that haunt the districts of Valoran City. None of them is sure anymore which is the “real” Shaco. Neither of them cares. “Here’s the splash art from Crime City Nightmare Shaco: CRIME CITY NIGHTMARE ZYRA – 1350 RP” Zyra was once a longtime partner of Graves and a seasoned cheater, but became dissatisfied with the monotony of a simple criminal lifestyle . Zyra saw a way out and merged with the four-dimensional horrors of Beyond. She is now obeying the edicts of an alien power, tearing the veins of sentient mud out of the earth and ripping apart her enemies. ”Here’s the Splash Art from Crime City Nightmare Zyra: Here’s Riot’s preview of the two skins: #PBE Preview of Crime City Nightmare! 🕵️ Crime City nightmare Shaco & Zyra! 🏙️ pic.twitter.com/bzYEcHNtXL – League of Legends // UK, IE & Nordics (@LoLUKN) August 11, 2021 Crime City Nightmare Twisted Fate – 1350 RP “Nobody knows whether the mysterious gentleman is human or something else, but he somehow injected himself into every criminal family in Valoran City.
