A grieving family seeks answers after a mother is found murdered with three young children at home. PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – Police are working to find out who killed a mother in Phoenix and left her children at home Monday night. According to Phoenix Police, officers went to an apartment complex on 19th Avenue south of Camelback Road to check the welfare of two young children crying on a unit’s porch. The officers arrived around 7:30 p.m. and found two unattended toddlers, ages 3 and 2. After entering the unit, the officers found a dead woman with obvious signs of trauma to her body. The woman was later identified as 30-year-old Shavone Robinson. A 4 week old baby was also found in the apartment. The 3 children were taken to a hospital and examined. The children have been released and are healthy. 2:08 AM Woman found murdered in Phoenix after hearing children cry. Shavone’s eldest son, a 6 year old, was with his godmother at the time. He just finished his kindergarten on Wednesday – something Shavone had been telling his family and friends about for weeks. “She is a great mother. She’s a very practical mother, ”said Shavone’s sister, Kika Robinson. “Your children always come first. She’s a single mother and she does everything by herself and she did damn well. ”Kika says her sister was a quiet woman who never complained. As the youngest of 8 children, Shavone has a large family ready to look after their children. “These are my nieces and nephews and I will treat them as if they were one of my children,” Kika said. Police say no suspicious information is currently available, but they are working with the Robinson family to seek help on one Bring murderers to justice. “We feel like someone knows something because we’re in the age of technology,” said Kika.
