It happened on March 4th at around 10 p.m. in the area of ​​16th Avenue and Buckeye Road. Witnesses say 21-year-old Javier Herrera was riding a bicycle when he was shot. He was not involved in a fight with a group standing in a field. Herrera later died. The group left before the police arrived. “I told him he would always be my little boy. I only kissed and hugged him so many times,” says Sandi Hernandez, Javier’s mother. Hernandez has traveled from Nogales to see their son for the last time at a funeral home. She asks anyone who has information to get in touch. Hernandez has a message for Sagittarius too. “You decided to shoot this gun at my son that night,” says Hernandez. “You had no right to do so. No right at all.” Hernandez says Javier leaves two younger siblings. She says he had a big heart and dreamed of having a family of his own one day.
