PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – A body was recovered Tuesday morning from a canal near 75th Avenue and Interstate 10 to the west. The Phoenix fire responded to the scene after reports of a body found in the canal were reported. Phoenix Fire Captain Todd Keller says when the crews arrived at the canal they realized it was not a rescue, but a recovery. They worked with Phoenix Police to remove the body from the canal. The police will investigate the situation. Phoenix Police said the victim had no trauma that resulted in death. The victim has not yet been identified. No additional information was published.
