PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – Police are investigating after three people, including a teenage girl, were injured near 75th Avenue and Thomas Road in a drive-by shootout early Sunday morning. Phoenix Police Lieutenant Mark Schweikert says officers responded to a call about a drive-by shooting in the area around 3 a.m. When they got to the scene, Schweikert says they saw a vehicle that was being shot at all at the time of the capture in a vehicle. All three people had gunshot wounds, but authorities said their injuries were not life threatening. No information about the suspect has been released.
