PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – Police are investigating after a man was hit by a car while crossing 16th Street in Phoenix on Sunday night. Police arrived at the scene near 16th Street and Southern Avenue shortly after 8 p.m. to get reports of a man who had been hit. The officers arrived and the man was taken to hospital shortly afterwards, seriously injured. The driver of the vehicle stayed on site and the police assume that the impairment did not play a role.
