PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – Police are investigating after two bodies were found in a car near 29th Street and Thomas Road in central Phoenix early Wednesday morning. Andy Williams, officials in the area responded around 3:40 a.m. to conduct a welfare check. When the officers arrived, they found a man and a woman inside the car who did not respond. The Phoenix Fire Department pronounced both dead. Investigators say there was evidence of drug use nearby, but the exact cause of death has not been disclosed. Detectives are still investigating on the spot, but police say there is currently no evidence of foul play. The authorities have not identified either person. The investigation continues.
