PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – Police say a man shot and killed a young girl while she was in a car with her mother in West Phoenix early Friday morning. It happened around 1 a.m. in the area of 43rd Avenue and Indian School Road. According to police, a woman was out with her two children, she saw a man, who was later identified as 23-year-old Francisco Sanchez, on the street. When she stopped near him, Sanchez went to the passenger side and shot and killed 17-year-old Eunice Rodriguez, police said. Rodriguez’s brother, who has autism, was also in the car. (Source: 3TV / CBS 5) Phoenix Police Sgt. Andy Williams said Sanchez ran away and threatened another woman before he was caught. He was charged with murder and kidnapping, among other charges.
