PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – The people who brought us the popular Humble Pie restaurants are now offering a different concept with their new Humble Bistro. The Humble Bistro, which is billed as a cultural fusion pizzeria and wine bar, opens on Monday on the High Street near Desert Ridge in north Phoenix. The menu reads Italian with a twist, including European and Latin influences. For some of the common entrees, try the charred jalapeno hummus, a trio of meatballs, crispy Brussels sprouts, and a caprese salad. Don’t miss the characteristic “Smorgasbord”, a sausage board filled with aged cheese, artichokes, poached wild mushrooms and more. There are also a range of bruschetta offerings (the Calabrian prawn sounds delicious!), As well as a variety of pizzas. There is also an extensive wine list that allows you to pair your favorite wine with your meal. The interior of the Humble Bistro shows off the old world character with clean, light brick walls, vintage Edison lightbulbs, chandeliers and antique-style photos . There is also an intimate deck to enjoy those beautiful Arizona spring nights. “I want you to feel safe.” Although Governor Ducey eased mask requirements last week, Humble Bistro says on its Facebook page that the restaurant continues to cap capacity and encourage diners to mask themselves when they’re not seated. “We pride ourselves on giving our guests the best experience. But also our staff, our waiters, our reception staff. I want them to feel safe,” said Chef and Owner Jorge Gomez. The humble bistro is located at 5415 E High Street, Suite # 127, Phoenix, AZ 85054.
