PHOENIX–(BUSINESS WIRE) – Graduates from the State Center Community College District can save money when they transfer their respective credits to a bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix thanks to a new agreement between the two institutions. The 3 + 1 Transfer Pathway program enables State Center Community College District students and staff to save on tuition costs by completing general community college course requirements for three years.

The new agreement includes Bachelor of Science degrees in business administration, health management, information technology and nursing.

“This agreement will make it easier and more affordable to get a bachelor’s degree,” said Dr. Douglas Houston, Interim Chancellor of SCCCD Improving Our Local Economy. ”

Students can count up to 87 credits towards a Bachelor’s degree. With all 87 credits carried over, students only need to complete 33 credits to graduate. The University of Phoenix offers undergraduate students one course at a time in five-week increments, with new courses starting monthly.
