Dan Gerelick, Trox CFO, accepts the Phoenix Business Journal’s ACE Award for fastest growing company.
CFO Dan Gerelick accepted the award on behalf of all Trox employees at the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa in Montelucia. The award as “Top 50 Largest Private Company” signals Trox ‘steady but future-oriented approach to educational technology.
“Our significant growth over the past few years is the result of our strong focus on education,” said Trox CEO Erez Picar called. “After having extremely robust conversations with school districts to understand what they needed when COVID-19 struck, we quickly developed and delivered the solutions required for distance and hybrid learning. Many of Trox’s more than 750 employees are former educators and are passionate about providing access to and improving learning outcomes in these particularly challenging times. “
The live dinner event drew more than 300 guests to honor the valley’s 50 largest private companies and the 25 fastest growing companies. A company must be private, profit-oriented, have no parent company, have its headquarters in Arizona, and have at least earned $ 7 million in each of the past two fiscal years to be eligible for an ACE award.
While turnover is the most important measure for the largest private companies, the fastest growing companies must demonstrate increases in turnover over two years based on a tabular growth value. ACE representatives visit all eligible companies to review annual net sales.
“Our mission is to use technology to improve learning outcomes and make technology implementation easier for schools so they can focus on the children,” said Pikar. “We provide access to more than 100,000 products and services and will sell an unprecedented million Chromebook devices in 2020. Trox is well placed to implement digital learning and hybrid solutions for schools as we offer a full suite of technology solutions throughout the device lifecycle, schools support with planning, integration, guarantees and services as well as deliver and install the devices. ”
After moving to virtual a year ago due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ACE Awards reverted to their usual live format of live presentations. Check out both the online and print versions of the Phoenix Business Journal for full coverage of the ACE Awards.
