Portion of SR 51 reopens early after weekend closure in Phoenix | Phoenix Traffic

PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – The Arizona Department of Transportation has reopened State Route 51 lanes north between Indian School and Camelback Road. This part of the freeway has been closed since 9 p.m. Friday, April 23rd The driveway on Thomas Road and the exit on Bethany Home Road have also been closed. According to ADOT, the motorway was actually reopened earlier than planned. The original reopening date was Monday, April 26th at 5:00 a.m. The closure was due to repairs to the sidewalk.
