The incident began when two uniformed officers were working in a local bar on Saturday night. A customer had reached out to her and told police that her ex-boyfriend, now identified as 32-year-old Jesse Villasaez, may have been following her from another nearby bar. “At some point later, the officers heard an argument on the outdoor terrace and recognized Villaseaz in the picture. He was arguing with the women and other guests,” said part of the statement. “The officers working with security from the store told the man to leave the property.” According to the police, Villasaez was later seen driving across the parking lot and then driving behind the bar. “As the two policemen went back, they saw Villaseaz approaching their position. As Villasaez got closer, he started firing a handgun from his moving vehicle near the policeman. The muzzle flash can be seen on the recordings of the surveillance camera. Both officers returned fire, “said part of the statement. Investigators say Villasaez was later found near 67th Avenue and Earll Drive.
