Travelers flying to and from Phoenix can now have COVID-19 tests performed at a new location in Terminal 4 at Sky Harbor Airport. PHOENIX (3TV / CBS5) – Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is now offering COVID-19 testing for travelers on its XpresCheck site. According to the airport, the location is in Drugs & More on Level 3 in Terminal 4. It will be daily Open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., except Tuesdays and Wednesdays. However, the clinic is on the week of Thanksgiving. “This is about as full as it was before the COVID hit.” Anyone can come by for a test or make an appointment in advance at XpresCheck. The visit takes about 20 minutes. When travelers start their trip, they want the ability to make COVID-19 testing more accessible at the start or end of their trip, airport officials say. “Active COVID-19 testing is a very important piece of the puzzle in restoring the safety and confidence of the traveling public,” said Doug Satzman, CEO of ExpressCheck. XpresCheck will have diagnostic tests, antibody tests and in the coming weeks rapid tests that will give results instantly. The cost of a quick test is $ 200 upfront. Travelers can submit their invoice for the rapid test to their health insurance company for reimbursement. The PCR and blood antibody tests are properly available, but the rapid COVID-19 test won’t be available until next month, Satzman said. Currently, a number of states are requiring a negative COVID-19 test before people can travel there without quarantining. That’s why Scottsdale’s Katrina Graham and Brandon Coleman came for a test.
