Study: Phoenix ranks 7th in the nation for workplace burnout on FOX 10’s Bailey Miller reports. PHOENIX – Burned out at work? It turns out that’s a lot of people – and Phoenix has a higher rate than most other major cities. According to a new study by the Robert Half Recruitment Agency, 44% of workers in the United States said they were burned out more often than they did a year ago. Burnout affects 49% of employees in Phoenix, ranking 7th nationwide, ahead of most other states. Many say from their own experience that they are not surprised. “We see the burnout when we not only look at our small business owners’ data but also talk to them, everyone can feel it,” said Jonathan Brooks, President of Business Warrior. Business Warrior is a Valley-based company focused on helping small businesses improve their branding and marketing skills. Brooks says communication is more important now than ever. “Between the team members and the business owners … let’s figure out how to get support because the last thing you want is people to stop,” Brooks said. The study shows that this burnout is due to long hours and little free time, and in a survey, many employees said they lost their free time in the past year. But to combat this burnout in the workplace every day, workers try to focus on self-care throughout the day. “Go outside, find something you enjoy doing to get rid of work because when you go home and think about work, that’s a problem.” For the latest local news, download the FOX 10 News app. More Arizona Headlines Tune On FOX 10 Phoenix For The Latest News:
