JIM SANDS JIM SANDS MAYODAN – On Monday, McMichael High School catcher Jake Lathrop signed his National Letter of Intent to play baseball and continue his education at Kings University, Tennessee after graduating from high school the following spring, when King Lathrop took part in a traveling ball tournament in Lathrop seen a game he had a lot of success with and invited him to visit. I think they will help me be good academically and at baseball. The baseball field is absolutely beautiful and there are mountains everywhere and I feel like I can fit in with all the baseball guys there, ”said Lathrop. The four-year-old Scholar Athlete Award winner expects to be at his usual place behind the plate most of the time in his senior high school season, but Lathrop expects McMichael to see McMichael some time on the hill again this year, and communication skills, ahead especially in the cooperation with the trainers and pitching staff. “We do a lot during the week to dial in the pitchers and make sure they are pitching their best in the game.
