SHARON, Pennsylvania – The Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce annual Phoenix Recognition Awards nominations have been extended to September 10.
Any individual, company or organization that is a member of the Chamber can nominate for any or all of the awards. The nominations are based on the performance of the nominees for the calendar year January 1, 2020 to December 31.
Eligible individuals, companies, or organizations must be physically located in the Shenango Valley area, do business in that area, and be a full member of the Chamber. Nominees can be submitted for more than one category, but can only receive one of the awards listed, including New Business Startup, Innovation, Growth Manufacturing, Growth Service, Growth Business, and Beautification.
Nomination packages should include: Cover sheet for the completed nomination, as well as:
• Optional nomination letter of no more than two pages describing specific business goals, specific achievements, community support, etc.
• Company profile, no more than one page in length, describing the specific type of company and company history of the person, company or organization (may be included as part of the optional nomination letter).
• Some of the awards may require a review of sales, employee numbers, and other relevant business and financial information. It would be desirable to provide this information when making the nomination. Chamber representatives will contact all nominated companies if this information is not included and needed.
• All other supporting documents that are deemed important by the nominee, including news clips, letters of recommendation, and other evidence to confirm the nomination. The accompanying documentation must not exceed five pages. Videos are not taken into account.
Nominations and forms must be submitted to Olivia Brown in person or by mail no later than Friday, September 10th, to the Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce, 41 Chestnut Ave., Sharon, Pa. 16146.
Phoenix Awards lunch is scheduled for September 23, 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at The Corinthian Banquet Hall and Event Center, 47 Vine Ave., Sharon.
