PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – The driver accused of causing a fatal accident in Phoenix on Saturday has been arrested for manslaughter. According to Phoenix Police, 23-year-old Elidio Saenz was driving too fast late Saturday morning when he was driving a Chrysler 300 west on Indian School Road and collided with a Toyota Scion trying to turn left onto 31st Avenue Saenz ‘ The car was previously traveling 100 kilometers per hour. However, he attempted to slow down by pressing the brakes a second before impact, which dropped the speed to 78 mph at the time of impact. Saenz told officers that he thought he was going 80 mph and was in a hurry to get home when the accident happened.
