LA Galaxy II will travel live on ESPN + to the game against Phoenix Rising FC at the Phoenix Rising FC Soccer Complex at Wild Horse Pass on Saturday, July 17th at 7:30 p.m. PT. This year Los Dos 3-6-4 are with 13 points, with 21 goals scored and 21 goals conceded with a goal difference of -1. In their last game Los Dos played on July 11th to a 1-1 draw against Tacoma Defiance. This year Preston Judd has scored seven goals in the USL championship, the most of any Galaxy II player, and is fourth in the USL championship. In addition, Jorge Hernández is second in LA with five goals scored, including leading the club with 29 chances created. Saturday’s competition marks the two clubs’ second clash of the season, with Phoenix beating LA 3-0 on July 3. Rising FC and Los Dos will play two more games this year, the next game in Los Angeles on September 11th and September 2nd. It is noteworthy that the LA Galaxy midfielder Daniel Aguirre on July 7th signed a one-year contract with three club option years of Los Dos signed. In addition, Galaxy defender Josh Drack signed a short-term loan from USL Championship subsidiary LA Galaxy II under extreme hardship. In 2020 Los Dos finished the regular season 8-6-2 with 26 points (4-3-1 at home and 4-3-1 away), placing them second in Group B and a place in the USL Championship Playoffs for the second consecutive season. Head coach Junior Gonzalez holds a record of 18-17-9 throughout his tenure as head coach at LA Galaxy II and has taken the team to two consecutive playoff appearances. In the seven years of USL Championship competition, Los Dos has qualified for the playoffs five times, in addition to a USL Western Conference Championship in 2015.
