(Flickr Photo / ADOT) PHOENIX – The only highway lock for Valley drivers this weekend is part of Loop 101 in north Phoenix, the Arizona Department of Transportation said Thursday. The Eastern Loop 101 Pima Freeway will be closed between Interstate 17 and Seventh Street from 10:00 PM Friday to 5:00 AM Monday as diamond cutting continues for an expansion project. The north and south driveways of I-17 to Loop 101 to the east and the ramp to Loop 101 to the east on 27th Avenue will be closed. The eastern Loop 101 ramps to I-17 in both directions remain open. Downhill riders also have to watch out for some ramp closings at different times this weekend. This weekend, the L-101 EB (Pima) between I-17 and 7th St will be closed as part of the ongoing expansion project.
