TUCSON (KVOA) – With many people itching to travel in the summer months, Phoenix is a sought-after travel destination, but some viewers want to know if it is safe to travel there and if there are any travel restrictions. One viewer asked, “Since Phoenix, Arizona is the number one hotspot, is it safe to go there for vacation? Is there a curfew? Do you need to quarantine the duration of your trip? Help. ”There is currently no curfew in Phoenix. According to the Arizona Office of Tourism, there is no quarantine requirement when traveling to Phoenix and there are currently no travel restrictions on visitors to Arizona. Whether it is safe to travel to Phoenix for a vacation depends on it. Travel increases the chance of getting and spreading COVID-19, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. COVID-19 is prevalent in the Arizona community, and no matter where you go in the state, the Arizona Department of Health is asking you these questions to ask yourself before you leave home: HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL YOU INTERACT WITH? SPACE BETWEEN YOU AND OTHERS, WILL YOU BE OUTSIDE OR INSIDE, HOW LONG WILL YOU INTERACT WITH PEOPLE? The CDC lists these questions to ask yourself before you travel. If you have a question about the coronavirus, email GettingAnswers@KVOA.com and Priscilla Casper of News 4 Tucson will be answering questions during the 6 p.m. newscast.
