(Photo via @ birdgangtravel / Twitter) The Phoenix Suns still have a lot of work to do, but their place in the Western Conference Finals over a sweep of the Denver Nuggets that closed on Sunday had the Valley vibe. Phoenix ended the 4-0 semifinal series of the Conference in Colorado on Sunday evening with a 125-118 win behind Chris Paul’s 37 points and seven assists. Sun’s backcourt colleague Devin Booker added 34 points and 11 boards, while center Deandre Ayton ended a consistent streak from challenging league MVP Nikola Jokic. The Suns have a few days to recharge their batteries and focus on the next round, be it against the Los Angeles Clippers or Utah Jazz. And they had a night to celebrate their achievement. When they traveled back to Arizona, a crowd of die-hard fans gathered to meet them at Sky Harbor Airport. As soon as the suns touched down, the players lived it out. Ayton jumped out of his moon roof to wow the fans. Torrey Craig, whose Instagram presence helped document his team from the inside out, posted a long story to show how many fans – maybe hundreds – showed up sometime around midnight to welcome the suns home. Booker’s big pup, Haven, was there to welcome his canine father and Phoenix guard teammates back to the valley. Haven called shotgun as Booker enjoyed the wild crowd in the back seat on the way out of the airport. Follow @AZSports
