PEORIA, AZ (3TV / CBS5) – A car driving on Loop 303 in Peoria collided head-on with another oncoming vehicle Monday night. The Arizona Department of Public Safety says a Nissan Sentra was driving wrong north in the southbound lanes when it hit a Tesla head-on near Lake Pleasant Parkway. According to DPS, both drivers were injured. The ghost driver, a 78-year-old man with dementia, was driving the Nissan Sentra and the Peoria police were looking for him. He was taken to the hospital.
