PHOENIX – A bush fire near State Route 51 in northern Phoenix has burned around 40 acres, according to authorities. Firefighters from multiple jurisdictions are working to contain the fire. The fire in the north of Phoenix had closed the transition ramp from SR 51 north to the Loop 101 Pima Freeway to the east at around 2.15 p.m., which, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation, led to traffic delays. The ramp was reopened around 5.10 p.m. No injuries were reported. Other information was not immediately available.
