Phoenix Police released a body cam video after gunshots were heard at a traffic stop this weekend. PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – Phoenix Police released a dramatic bodycam video showing officers reacting to gunfire in their vicinity while performing a traffic stop in West Phoenix on Saturday morning. Andy Williams, it happened near 95th Avenue and McDowell Road around 6:45 am. Williams says when officers got out of their car, they heard gunshots nearby and believed they might have been aimed at them. “Everyone down! Everyone down!” You could hear a policeman screaming. Moments later a policeman was heard saying, “We’re taking shots from the west,” when he called for reinforcements. There were also officials to be seen shielding the citizens and bringing them to safety. Police actively searched the area but did not find any suspects. Westbound lanes on I-10 were temporarily closed, but the freeway reopened less than an hour later. Nobody was hurt.
