(KTAR News Photos) PHOENIX – Phoenix’s Bluewater Grill is on the move. The seafood restaurant on Camelback Road off State Route 51, a location denoted by a prominent blue and white swordfish sign overlooking the freeway, closed in June. It is now preparing to reopen about a mile north on the southwest corner of 16th Street and Bethany Home Road. Bluewater Grill plans to resume operations in August after remodeling the former SanTan Brew Pub, which closed in April. “When we reopen you can enjoy an oyster / sushi bar, a full bar and happy hour,” the restaurant said on its website. The Phoenix location opened in 2009 and is the only Bluewater Grill outside of California. A spokesman for the Newport Beach-based company told ABC15 in April that the property on Camelback Road had been sold to home builders. A spokesman for SanTan Brewing told KTAR News 92.3 FM after the Phoenix facility closed that the company had decided to focus on its brewery and Spirit House Bar in Chandler.
