The Arizona Department of Transportation says in a press release that ADOT and its contractors are not planning any scheduled full weekend closings from Friday morning through the night of July 5th for additional travel time. If necessary, arrange for a designated driver or driver service. Be aware of hot weather conditions and the possibility of weather changes, including thunderstorms and dust storms, during the summer travel season. Pack an emergency prep kit and bring extra drinking water for you and your passengers. Rest and check your vehicle before you drive, including tire pressures, windshield wipers, seat belts, and engine fluid levels, the Transport Safety Authority (TSA) says in a press release That you expect heavy travel for the vacation weekend as summer travel continues to pick up. “It is encouraging to see the country travel again and enjoy the weekend and celebrate our country’s independence,” said TSA Administrator David Pekoske. “We continue to remind passengers to be patient and to stay calm through security and on board the aircraft.
