PHOENIX – Flair Airlines, an ultra-low-cost airline based in Edmonton, Canada, announced Thursday that it will introduce flights between Phoenix and three different Canadian cities this fall. Mesa Gateway Airport in the Southeast Valley on October 31. The service will be in operation through March 26th. While Phoenix has historically been a very popular destination for Canadian business and leisure travelers, there were few visitors from the Great White North to the Valley in 2020 and early 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and Flair is joining several Canada-based airlines who are building service between Phoenix and Canada this fall. While Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is the main airport in the region, Mesa Gateway has its share of Canadian non-stop flights. Swoop and WestJet also operate from Gateway Airport. In addition to flights to Phoenix, Flair also announced plans to add routes to other warm US tourist destinations, including Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Orlando; Hollywood-Burbank, California; Palm Springs, California; and Las Vegas.
