Her sister Ashley said at the Sunday watch at the same point she was met, “She was unique. Very caring. She was the best big sister, you know. She was my leverage on everything.” Montgomery Hudgens described Blaine as a loving and caring person. April Bedoni, her grandmother, said: “It is not worth taking a life. Not only was my granddaughter’s life taken, the person who hit her is going to jail, you know. Family and friends lit candles in her honor, sprinkled water, and prayed in the area where she was struck. While it won’t bring anything back, family members hope that their story will help prevent others from dying. “Not just the drivers, but also those who give them drinks at the bars, the friends who allow them to drive,” said her grandmother.
