CHICAGO (WLS) – The Chicago Sky won their first championship Sunday, beating the Phoenix Mercury 80-74 in Game 4 of the 2021 WNBA Finals. Mayor Lori Lightfoot told 670 The Score on Monday morning that the championship rally would be held at Millennium Park on Tuesday , and further details were expected later. Lightfoot said it is a victory this city needs now. The parade exits Wintrust Arena and then travels north on Michigan Avenue from Roosevelt Road to Randolph Street, then turns east to the Pritzker Pavilion. Fans are encouraged to visit gather along the route to cheer the team on. It’s free and open to the public, but all attendees must pass security at the Monroe Street and Michigan Avenue entrances. As a result of the celebrations, rolling road closures are expected to follow Start 10am: On Indiana Ave from 21st Street to CermakOn Michigan Avenue from Roosevelt Road to Randolph Stre etStreets will reopen as soon as the motorcade is over, city officials said.
