PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – A mother from Phoenix says she can barely mourn the loss of her son because her family was tortured by the accused murderer and his staff. According to police, 16-year-old Romeo Perkins was found shot dead in July in an apartment complex near Glenrosa Avenue and I-17. Source: 3TV / CBS 5 Before Rollins ended up behind bars, he is said to have sent disturbing messages to the relatives of the victim. Some of the news was recorded in court records. “Boom, boom, boom, boom” was a message listed on court records. In another message, Rollins reportedly told the Perkins family that he should have thrown the victim “into a canal.” Perkins’ great-aunt Julie Maurer recalled receiving another message that sounded ominous. “I’ll face myself if you go with me. If you don’t do that, I’ll shoot you in the head, ”recites Maurer. 16-year-old boy identified after he was shot in the Phoenix apartment “That doesn’t make sense to me,” says Perkins’ mother, Amanda Acosta. “He’s so young. It doesn’t make sense. ”Acosta and Maurer spoke to Arizona’s family after a Thursday morning trial in which Rollins would not appear. Rollins is charged with first degree murder. Acosta says her son thought Rollins was a friend and she had no reason to believe he was capable of violence. The Phoenix Police Department has informed the Arizona family that their detectives are still considering involving others in the case. It is unclear whether there will be any further arrests. Arizona’s family spoke briefly to Rollins’ attorney Victoria Washington, who said she is reviewing the case and currently has no comment. Acosta says she will fight for her son. She remembers him as a talented artist with potential.
