Sage Plum Creek, a new 185 unit community for active seniors 55 and older, is under construction at 1075 Vaughn, Kyle. The community is expected to open in early 2022, with the first moves scheduled to begin in March, and a number of units have already been pre-published. The 185 units will vary from 615 square feet to 1,285 square feet with eight different floor plans. The community is aimed at those who are 55 and older and are still completely independent. O’Reilly will open a new location on FM 1626 near the Buda Sportsplex in January. The new facility is currently under construction and will be around 8,000 square meters. QuikTrip will open a new location on Robert S. Light Boulevard and I-35 in Buda in spring 2022. The new facility will be approximately 7,300 square meters and will be equipped with gasoline and diesel pumps for cars and semi-trailers. Community
The City of Buda and Texas Disposal Systems have expanded the waste and recycling services available to residents. Extended services include recycling of large plastic items, scrap metal, Christmas trees and Christmas lights every two weeks in January. In addition, TDS can now collect and dispose of mattresses for a fee. A new program, Bag-the-Bag, is now available to help residents easily recycle plastic bags and collect the necessary yellow sack free of charge from the shop windows of the Buda Municipal Building. www.texasdisposalsystems.com
