PHOENIX (3TV / CBS 5) – A woman and her unborn child are dead after police ran over a red light near Papago Park in Phoenix on Wednesday afternoon. 26-year-old Samantha Bean-Lansman was driving East Road on McDowell, according to police, when she didn’t stop at the red light and just before 2:30 p.m. rammed into a van that turned left onto 52nd Street. Samantha Bean-Lansman died on the scene. According to police, she was eight months pregnant and the unborn child did not survive. The truck driver and his passenger were not injured. According to the police, the truck driver was not disabled. A video from Arizona’s family news helicopter showed a badly damaged Nissan Altima between the panel van and a 10-wheel articulated truck. Traffic will be restricted on 52nd Street and McDowell Avenue due to a fatal traffic collision.
