Two men were hospitalized in critical condition and another man was arrested after a shooting occurred late Saturday morning in Phoenix, police said.
Phoenix Police responded to a report of a shooting near 14th and McKinley Streets at around 10 a.m. Police said they found two men nearby who fled a shop after the shooting. The men were hospitalized in critical condition, said Sgt. Andy Williams, a Phoenix Police Department spokesman.
A man was also arrested, said Williams.
Preliminary information indicated the men were in a verbal altercation that escalated into a physical fight and then a shootout, police said.
The police were there, speaking to witnesses and looking for evidence. The area remained restricted from Saturday afternoon.
