- The NBA announced Thursday that it has hired a law firm Investigate allegations of misogyny and racism by Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver. The allegations were rolled into one extensive ESPN report based on interviews with 70 current and former Suns employees. Sarver denies the allegations, calls ESPN’s coverage “inaccurate and misleading.” (Phoenix patch)
- To plan avoid I-17 in the north Phoenix area this weekend if you don’t want to accept long delays. Autobahn-17 between Happy Valley Road and Carefree Highway in North Phoenix will be complete closed in both directions this weekend for road sealing and road marking. (Signals AZ)
- Encanto Village is Phoenix’s No. 1 neighborhood for new housing. Almost 3,000 units were built there in the past 5 years. Downtown Phoenix was number 2 in town for new apartments. Encanto Village includes Phoenix’s Midtown and Uptown Areas. (AZ Large Media)
- Lester Holt hosts “NBC Nightly News” from phoenix tonight as part of his week-long series “Across America”. The show will Broadcast from ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication Friday evening. Holt told the Arizona Republic that one of the things that drew him here was: The demographic change of Phoenix and political landscape. (Republic of Arizona)
