Mesa City Council has finalized the construction of AirPark 202, a 1.5 million square foot industrial park, after making some project zoning changes, as well as some changes to site plans and development standards. This project is located in the northern portion of Loop 202 and the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, in the southeast corner of Sossaman and Warner Roads in Mesa. The AirPark 202 project is being developed on 100 acres of land in The Valley, one of the country’s industrial hotspots. According to proposals submitted to Mesa City Council, developers LaPour Partners and Scottsdale Investment Management intend to invest $ 150 million to build this industrial park. They also stated that the goal of this project is to provide enough industrial space to meet the rapidly increasing demand from e-commerce companies and local / regional manufacturing market firms and to serve the growing East Valley population who are either relocating or considering moving to expand their operations. AirPark 202 is being built as a class A industrial park with six buildings and according to Ed Grant, executive vice president of Scottsdale Investment Management, those buildings will provide space for B. industrial Use, warehousing, manufacturing and logistics Malcomb as the architect of the project. An Arizona civil engineering firm, TLCP Structural Inc., will be the engineering firm responsible for the construction. Another Seattle-based engineering firm, the Sazan Group, will handle the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work on the project. The landscape architecture is overseen by Studio DPA, a planning and landscape architecture office based in Phoenix, Arizona. Phoenix has seen a steady industrial boom over the years and now the AirPark 202 project is also being launched as part of industrial development in a region that contributes 9.0 percent to existing inventory, which is more than any other major US market.
