PHOENIX – The reintroduction of Eegee to Metro Phoenix will continue later this year when a location opens in Mesa, the fast food chain announced Tuesday. The Tucson-based chain’s location near Crismon Road and US 60 is slated to open in November, according to a press release. The restaurant will be 2,300 square meters, an Eegee-only drive-thru window for the chain’s signature drink, and a walk-in order window. Eegee’s will host a job fair on October 9th to recruit 50 team members for positions such as assistant managers, shift supervisors and crew members. The job fair takes place from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Gilbert location at 3535 E. Baseline Road. Eegee’s previously announced that a second location in Gilbert and restaurants in Phoenix and Scottsdale will also open before the end of 2021. Before the first Gilbert location opened in July, Eegee’s location was closest to Metro Phoenix in Casa Grande. The company’s signature frozen goodies were also available at some Valley Blimpie sandwich shops. Eegee’s has more than 20 locations across Tucson and has been in business since 1971.
